Hogs Begin 10-Game Homestand with Midweek Matchup against Grambling

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Fourth-ranked Arkansas returns inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium for the start of a season-long 10-game homestand beginning with a midweek matchup against Grambling (4-3) Tuesday afternoon.

First pitch between the Razorbacks and Tigers is scheduled for 3 p.m. on SEC Network+ with Brett Dolan (play-by-play) and Razorback great and former big leaguer Logan Forsythe (analyst) on the call. Arkansas is off to a 6-1 overall start through its first seven games of the year, marking its best seven-game start to a season since the 2021 campaign.

The Hogs enter the 2025 season having won 12 consecutive midweek matchups after going a perfect 12-0 in midweek games last year. Arkansas’ last midweek loss came against Lipscomb on May 2, 2023, in North Little Rock, Ark.

History Lesson
Arkansas is 11-0 all-time against Grambling, including a 10-0 record in games played in Fayetteville. Under head coach Dave Van Horn, Arkansas is 11-0 overall and 10-0 at Baum-Walker Stadium against the Tigers.

Midweek Magic
The Razorbacks went undefeated in midweek games during the 2024 campaign, posting an unbeaten midweek record for the first time since 2005. Arkansas recorded midweek wins against Grambling, UCA, Oral Roberts, Little Rock, Arkansas State and UAPB as well as three two-game midweek series sweeps over San Jose State, Texas Tech and Missouri State to finish with a perfect 12-0 midweek record.

In 2005, Dave Van Horn’s third season as head coach, Arkansas went 9-0 in midweek games, including wins against Centenary (2), Missouri State (2), Northern Colorado (2), Oral Roberts (2) and Oklahoma State (1).

Entering the 2025 campaign, the Razorbacks have won 12 consecutive midweek matchups. Arkansas’ most recent midweek loss came against Lipscomb on May 2, 2023, in the final midweek game of that season.

The 2025 campaign marks the 30th season in the history of Baum-Walker Stadium, which opened in 1996. Arkansas won its 700th game at Baum-Walker Stadium against Washington State on Feb. 17 and maintains an all-time record of 700-243 (.742) inside the stadium’s friendly confines entering Tuesday night’s midweek matchup against Grambling.

With its Opening Weekend series sweep against the Cougars, the Razorbacks are off to an undefeated 4-0 start at home this season. Excluding the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign, Arkansas has won 28 or more games at Baum-Walker Stadium in seven consecutive seasons (2017-19 & 2021-24), including a program-best 34 wins in 2018 and 2024.
