Hogs Head to Texas for Pair of Quad Meets

The No. 16 Gymbacks are on the road again this week and face some of the toughest teams in the country as they gear up for the Metroplex Challenge on Saturday at 7:15 p.m. in Fort Worth.

Arkansas is joined by No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Cal and Washington in the meet. 2024 marks Arkansas’ fourth appearance at the Metroplex Challenge, dating back to 2015. The Gymbacks have never finished higher than third place at the meet.

The Razorbacks have seen the Sooners six times in the last four seasons and will once more in March, but the Gymbacks haven’t competed against Cal since 2017 or Washington since 2010, and the Hogs have matching 4-0 records in both series.

The meet is Arkansas’ first at a neutral site in 2024, and first of two on the weekend, the second a quad meet at Texas Woman’s on Monday at 2 p.m. with No. 9 Alabama, No. 17 Arizona and host TWU. The Hogs have not won a neutral site meet since 2009, and last came in second at a neutral site meet in 2016 at the season-opening Cancun Classic.

Saturday’s meet will not be streamed, and Monday’s will have a paid option via TWU.
