Hogs, Irish reschedule game in South Bend

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The game at Notre Dame is back on, Arkansas and the Fighting Irish have rescheduled the game at Notre Dame Stadium for Sept. 16, 2028.

The Razorbacks’ first-ever trip to Notre Dame was wiped out last season due to the global pandemic and the Razorbacks’ ensuing all Southeastern Conference schedule. The Hogs were slated to make the trek to South Bend for the first game of a home-and-home series on Sept. 12 before schedules were altered for the 2020 season. Instead, the Razorbacks and Irish will play the first game of the home-and-home series in Fayetteville on Sept. 27, 2025.

Moving the game at Notre Dame to the 2028 season gives Arkansas two scheduled non-conference games for that season with a home date against Memphis on the books for Sept. 9.

The Razorbacks are set to open the 2021 season and Head Coach Sam Pittman’s second year at the helm against Rice on Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. on SEC Network+/ESPN+ inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The Hogs will then host former Southwest Conference rival Texas in primetime on Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. on ESPN. The Hogs wrap up a three-game home stand the following week against Georgia Southern on Sept. 18 at 3 p.m. on SEC Network as part of the University’s Family Weekend. A historic matchup between Arkansas and UAPB is set for Oct. 23 inside War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. The Razorbacks will welcome SEC foes Auburn (Oct. 16) for Homecoming, Mississippi State (Nov. 6) and Missouri (Nov. 26) at 2:30 p.m. on CBS.
