Hogs Standout at Speedo Sectionals

Columbia, Mo. – Arkansas Swimming traveled to Columbia, Mo. to take on the Speedo Sectionals. The Razorbacks have already won three gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal after two days of competing. The gold medals went to Bradi Jones in 200m Breaststroke, in which she had a third second personal best posting a time of 2:35.96. Furthermore, the next gold medal would go to Andrea Sansores in the 100m Butterfly, where she broke the school record, previously held by Anna Hopkin, by putting up a time of 1:00.55. Lastly, the final gold medal would come in the 400 Freestyle relay, in which Claire Rumzie, Rebecca Simpson, Kobie Melton, and Andrea Sansores posted a time of 3:51.02. Bradi Jones would get a silver medal in the 50m Breaststroke while having a time of 32.49, and Andrea Sansores would earn a bronze medal in the 50m Butterfly with a 27.45.

“We are excited that our small team is having so much success. This group has stayed in town and trained hard to improve themselves for the coming year,” said head coach Neil Harper. “Andrea’s school record is the highlight. Breaking Anna Hopkin’s 100m Butterfly school record is very exciting! Bradi has had 2 PB’s, Rebecca has made 2 A-finals and 3 personal bests, Claire has had 2 personal bests, Reilly has made 2 A-finals and 1 personal best, and Kobie has made 2 A-finals and had the fastest split on our winning relay! We are excited for the 2 days remaining!”
