Maria José Marin Wins Women's Amateur Latin America on Third Playoff Hole
TULUM, Mexico – Arkansas junior golfer Maria José Marin turned in a 7-under 281 to win the 2025 Women’s Amateur Latin America at PGA Riviera Maya in Tulum, Mexico.
José Marin is the third-straight Razorback to win the event, following her current Arkansas teammate Clarisa Temelo (2024) and former Hog Ela Anacona (2023).
The Cali, Colombia native had a two-stroke lead headed into the final two holes, but bogeyed twice to finish tied for first with SMU’s Emily Odwin (Barbados). José Marin and Odwin played three extra holes to determine the winner. José Marin parred the par-4 No. 10 and Odwin double-bogeyed.
Temelo also played in the event and finished tied for 10th place with an 8-over 286.
