Marshall Added to Biletnikoff Award Watch List
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas fifth-year wide receiver Chris Marshall has been added to the 2026 Biletnikoff Award Watch List, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation announced on Wednesday.
Marshall was one of 14 receivers added to the watch list for the award, which recognizes the most outstanding FBS pass catcher regardless of position.
He has caught 35 passes for 549 yards and two touchdowns this season, led by back-to-back 100-yard receiving performances against Georgia on Sept. 19 and Tulsa on Sept. 26. Marshall leads the SEC in receiving plays of 10-plus yards (25) and first down receptions (24) while ranking second in receptions (35), receiving yards (549), receptions per game (7.0) and receiving yards per game (109.8).
The Missouri City, Texas product hauled in seven receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown to lead Arkansas in receiving at Texas A&M, becoming the first Razorback to lead Arkansas in receiving yards in the first five games of a season since Derek Russell (5) in 1990. He joined James Shibest (1984, 6) and Russell as the only Razorbacks to lead Arkansas in receiving in the opening five games of a season dating back to 1979.
The Biletnikoff Award has been presented annually since 1994 by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club to recognize the top pass-catcher in college football. The award is named in honor of former Florida State and Oakland Raiders receiver Fred Biletnikoff. Semifinalists for the Biletnikoff will be announced on Nov. 16, with three finalists unveiled on Nov. 24. The winner of the 2026 Biletnikoff Award will be announced on Dec. 11 as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
Following last weekend’s SEC road opener at Texas A&M, the Hogs return inside the friendly confines of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium to host 15th-ranked Tennessee. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, on SEC Network.
