Marshall Receives Honorable Mention Nod From Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas fifth-year wide receiver Chris Marshall has been named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award honorable mention list following his standout performance during the Razorbacks’ 34-6 win against Tulsa on Sept. 26, the Tyler Chamber of Commerce and SPORTyler announced on Tuesday.
Marshall had a career day during the non-conference finale win, registering career highs in receptions and receiving yards with nine catches for 195 yards. It marked the seventh-most receiving yards in a single game in program history and the sixth-most receiving yards in a game nationally this season. Additionally, Marshall became the first Razorback since Andrew Armstrong in 2024 to post consecutive 100+ yard receiving games and the first Arkansas pass catcher since Anthony Eubanks (4) in 1996 to lead Arkansas in receiving yards in each of the first four games of a season.
The Missouri City, Texas product has 28 receptions for 473 yards and a touchdown this season. His 473 receiving yards through four games are the most by an Arkansas pass catcher since Jarius Wright began his 2011 campaign with 478 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 28 catches. He currently leads the SEC in receptions (28, T-1st), receiving yards (473, 1st), receptions per game (7.0, T-1st), receiving yards per game (118.3, 1st) and first-down receptions (19).
Throughout the season, the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award weekly honors the top-performing players from the state of Texas.
After closing out the non-conference portion of its 2026 schedule with a dominant win against Tulsa at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, Arkansas hits the road for a showdown against longtime rival Texas A&M. Kickoff between the Razorbacks and Aggies from Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, on ESPN2.
