Morgan Price Named Finalist for AAI Award

As a culmination of her tremendous contributions to the sport over the last four years, Arkansas’ Morgan Price has been named a finalist for the prestigious AAI Award, given to the most outstanding senior collegiate female gymnast in the country.

Price is Arkansas’ first AAI finalist since 2014 and third ever, joining fellow Gymbacks Katherine Grable (2014) and Jaime Pisani (2012). Arkansas assistant coach Kyla Ross was also a finalist for the award in 2020 in her time as a student-athlete at UCLA. Price is one of seven finalists who will be recognized at the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas next month, with the award given in the same ceremony.

Morgan has been a trailblazer in collegiate gymnastics and is still reaching new heights in her senior campaign. She began her career at Fisk University as a founding member of the first-ever HBCU gymnastics program. At Fisk, she quickly rose to dominance as she won six national titles – including back-to-back WCGNIC all-around crowns in 2024 and 2025 and all four event titles in 2024 – and earned three All-American nods.

In 2025, Price became the first HBCU gymnast to ever score a Perfect 10, on bars, and continued to put herself on the collegiate gymnastics radar nationally and beyond.

After accomplishing all that she wanted to at Fisk, Price announced her intention to transfer for her senior season, one of the most sought-after portal entries in recent years. She chose Arkansas, joining her older sister and Gymback star, Frankie Price, and immediately became one to watch in the talent-packed SEC gymnastics landscape.

Price has been a star since her Arkansas debut and has scored 9.900+ on vault, bars, and beam. She has continued to make history with the Gymbacks, which included getting the school’s first-ever Perfect 10, on vault, on Feb. 20. With the mark, she became one of only five known athletes to score a Perfect 10 at two different universities and the first to score a program’s first-ever Perfect 10 at two different schools (Arkansas and Fisk). She has also earned a 9.975 on bars twice, matching the school record and becoming the first Gymback to get the score on the event more than once.

Morgan has been consistently ranked in the top 10 on vault and bars this season and set a new career high of 39.600 all-around in January, one of the highest totals in the country this season. She has earned 15 total event and all-around titles: five on bars, three each on vault and all-around and one apiece on beam and floor.

Outside of the gym, Morgan is a dedicated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc., a sorority part of The Divine Nine. She is a legacy Divine Nine member as her mother, Marsha, is a fellow AKA and her late father, Chris, was part of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.

Morgan and her sisters Frankie and Kristin recently started Bound By Balance, LLC, which aims to empower and inspire excellence in young girls. The Price sisters hosted two successful gymnastics and cheer camps over the summer in Nashville, Tenn. and Springdale, Ark., giving back to the sports that have shaped them over the years.

Morgan is majoring in economics and is set to graduate this spring and has aspirations of coaching in the future.
