No. 8 Arkansas wins Route 66 Invitational

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The eighth-ranked Razorback women’s golf team picked up its second straight tournament win on Tuesday afternoon at the Route 66 Invitational at Cedar Ridge Country Club.

Arkansas started the day with a 10-shot lead over Oklahoma, but the Sooners surged closer to the Hogs with an 8-under final round.

The Razorbacks shot 1-under on the day, led by runner-up finisher Maria José Marin (2nd, -10). Oklahoma’s Savannah Barber won the individual title at 11-under.

Arkansas’ four counting scores combined for 14 birdies in the third round but picked up blemishes on nearly as many holes.

All six Hogs competing finished in the top 25: José Marin (2nd, -10), Reagan Zibilski (T4, -3), Clarisa Temelo (+3, T13), Swetha Sathish (+3, T13), Abbey Schutte (+3, T13) and Anna Kate Nichols (+7, T25).
