
No. 8 Women's Golf Wins Blessings Collegiate by 36 Strokes
FAYETTEVILLE – No. 8 Arkansas women’s golf dominated its way to a 36-stroke victory at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational and picked up its first tournament win of the 2025-26 season.
The Hogs saved their best round for the final day and shot 7-under par and finished 8-under for the tournament. Second-place Kent State finished 28-over.
Junior Maria José Marin (2nd, -12) fired an 8-under 64, the Blessings Golf Club course record and her lowest 18-hole score as a Razorback. The Cali, Colombia native birdied seven holes and eagled the par-4 14th hole to finish two shots behind Mississippi State’s Avery Weed (1st, -14)
Sophomore Clarisa Temelo also saved her best for last with a 4-under 68 to get to even par and finished tied for third with junior Abbey Schutte.
All four of Arkansas’ counting scores finished in the top 6: José Marin, Temelo, Schutte and senior Reagan Zibilski (T6, +5).
The Razorbacks have won each of the last three BCI women’s team titles.
