Platt Named to Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas senior tight end Jaden Platt was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List, the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and SPORTyler announced Tuesday morning.
The award is presented annually to the nation’s top offensive player who exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity. Additionally, the student-athlete must be born in Texas and/or have attended a Texas high school, junior college or university. Platt is a native of Haslet, Texas, and graduated from Eaton High School, located in Fort Worth, Texas.
Platt returns after starting 11 games and appearing in all 12 games in 2025. Platt recorded 21 receptions for a total of 296 yards and two touchdowns a year ago. Platt had a career-high 66-yard receiving performance on four receptions, highlighted by an eight-yard touchdown pass from KJ Jackson in the fourth quarter of the Hogs’ final road game of the 2025 season at Texas on Nov. 22. He also had three catches for 53 yards in a loss at Ole Miss on Sept. 13.
The Watch List announced today will be narrowed to up to 16 semifinalists in November and then up to 5 finalists in December. They will be selected by broadcasters, commentators, journalists, fans, and previous winners. The winner will be announced in December and celebrated at The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Banquet scheduled for January 27, 2027, in Tyler, Texas.
The preseason watch list selection is the fourth for Platt, as he was previously named to the John Mackey Award, Allstate Wuerffel Trophy and the AllState AFCA Good Works Team watch lists.
