#ProHogs in the NFL – Week 12 Report

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Here is a look at how the 15 former Arkansas football players active on NFL rosters fared this past weekend in Week 12 of the NFL season.

BEST OF WEEK 12

Brandon Allen, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

Allen made his first start of the season, filling in for an injured Joe Burrow, completing 17-of-29 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown, but Cincinnati fell to the New York Giants, 19-17. Before this weekend, Allen spent all 10 weeks on the practice squad, and according to reports from ESPN’s Ben Baby, conducted meetings virtually all season filling the role of “emergency pandemic quarterback” in the event COVID-19 would wipe out the entire position group. Originally a sixth-round selection in 2016 by Jacksonville, he made his fourth NFL start on Sunday, after making three for Denver last year. Against the Giants with 2:33 to play in the fourth quarter, he completed a one-yard touchdown pass to WR Tee Higgins, bringing Cincinnati within two points.

Kamren Curl, S, Washington Football Team

Curl started his fourth straight game and helped Washington earn a season sweep over Dallas for the first time since 2012 with a 41-16 win over the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. He finished second on the team in both total tackles (8) and solo tackles (5), earning season-highs in PFF’s defensive (80.4) and coverage (80.4) grades. Since taking over starting safety duties, Washington is 2-2 and tied for first in the NFC East (4-7).

Hunter Henry, TE, Los Angeles Chargers

Henry made a season-high seven catches, but the Los Angeles Chargers fell at Buffalo, 27-17. The tight end totaled 67 receiving yards, the second-most on the team. Henry has started all 11 games this season, registering 48 receptions, 502 receiving yards – which ranks fifth among all NFL tight ends – and three touchdowns.
