#ProHogs in the NFL – Week 7 Report
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Here is a look at how the 15 former Arkansas football players active on NFL rosters fared this past weekend in Week 7 of the 2021 NFL season.
BEST OF WEEK 7
Hunter Henry, TE, New England Patriots
Henry caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Mac Jones late in the second quarter, recording a touchdown grab in a career-best fourth straight game, helping New England to a 54-13 win over the New York Jets. He finished the game with two catches for 23 yards. In 2016 as a rookie for the San Diego Chargers, Henry logged a touchdown catch in three consecutive games. The last New England tight end to register a stretch of four straight games with a touchdown reception was Rob Gronkowski in 2013. The Patriots’ franchise record for most consecutive games with a score by a tight end is six by Gronkowski in 2011. Antonio Gates set the NFL record at nine games in 2009-10. Henry’s four total touchdown receptions this season are tied for second-most in the NFL among tight ends.
Kamren Curl, S, Washington Football Team
Curl was second on the team logging six tackles in Washington’s 24-10 defeat to Green Bay. The second-year pro’s 38 tackles this season is third-most on the team behind linebacker Cole Holcomb (64) and safety Landon Collins (46). Curl has recorded 120 career total tackles.
Jerry Jacobs, CB, Detroit Lions
Making his third start in as many weeks, Jacobs tallied six tackles and a pass defensed in Detroit’s 28-19 setback to the Los Angeles Rams. As an undrafted rookie, Jacobs’ 64.0 season defensive grade from PFF ranks fourth among all NFL rookie corners that have played at least 200 snaps, and the highest of undrafted players. Playing in seven games this season, Jacobs has recorded 18 tackles with a forced fumble and three passes defensed, which ranks third on the team.
