True freshman pitcher Gabe Gaeckle was dominant in relief for the Razorbacks, who went a perfect 4-0 during the week and won their 30th consecutive non-conference home weekend series with a three-game sweep against McNeese. The right-hander recorded a pair of multi-inning saves, totaling 4.2 innings of one-run ball with four strikeouts over his two appearances. Gaeckle locked down his first save of the week against UCA on March 5 with his two-inning outing in the Hogs’ midweek win. The Aptos, Calif., native secured his second save of the week in the Razorbacks’ series-opening win against McNeese on March 9, twirling 2.2 scoreless innings with three strikeouts. For the season, Gaeckle is tied for the team lead in saves (3). All three of his saves this season are of the multi-inning variety.

Razorback Notes

  • With the series win against McNeese, Arkansas clinched its 30th consecutive non-conference home weekend series. The Razorbacks have not lost or tied a non-conference regular season weekend series at Baum-Walker Stadium since dropping two-of-three games against South Alabama in 2014.
