Razorback Spirit Squads Launch Kid Spirit Program

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorback Spirit Program has created a new, engaging way to reach young Hog fans interested in cheerleading and dance called the Razorback Kid Spirit program.

Razorback Kid Spirit is a yearlong program to connect kids to Razorback Athletics through interactive experiences with the Razorback Cheerleaders, Pom Squad and Mascots. The program is open to children ages Pre-K through 8th grade. Members will receive official gear, complimentary tickets to select games, an invitation to attend a private practice plus one-of-a-kind monthly experiences. Also included is complimentary admission to Junior Spirit Day at Arkansas Women’s Basketball and Junior RBI Girl Day at Razorback Baseball.

“Visiting with young Hog fans seems to always be the highlight of any event that the Spirit Squads attend,” Junior cheerleader McKenzie Selph said. “They are the foundation and the future of the University of Arkansas. The time spent with young Hog fans is one of the reasons I wanted to become a Razorback cheerleader.”

Razorback Kid Spirit will be another way for spirit squad members to engage with young fans.

“It is very rewarding to see the love young Hog Fans have for our Spirit Squad members,” director of spirit programs Brooke Bailey said. “With Razorback Kid Spirit, we hope to not only make a greater impact for young fans attending games, but those that live across the country as well. Our squads promote the rich tradition and spirit for Arkansas Athletics. We are excited to watch this grow in future generations.”
