Razorback Trio Collects ABCA/Rawlings All-America Honors
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas’ Wehiwa Aloy, Charles Davalan and Kuhio Aloy were named All-Americans by the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings. Wehiwa Aloy earned first-team recognition, while Davalan and Kuhio Aloy picked up second-team recognition.
Through 61 games, Wehiwa Aloy is slashing .348/.433/.668 with a team-leading 20 home runs and 64 RBI. The SEC Player of the Year, who has started every game at shortstop this season, is a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award, Dick Howser Trophy and Brooks Wallace Award. Aloy also leads the Hogs in runs scored (78), total bases (167) and multi-hit games (28).
His younger brother, Kuhio, is slashing .330/.415/.5646 with 13 home runs and a team-leading 70 RBI across 57 games this season. The sophomore, who is in his first season at Arkansas after transferring from BYU, earned first-team All-SEC honors as the Razorbacks’ primary designated hitter.
Davalan, meanwhile, is slashing .355/.444/.586 with 14 home runs and 59 RBI in 61 games this year. The Razorback outfielder, who earned first-team All-SEC honors, leads the team in hits (89) and ranks second in runs scored (68), total bases (147) and multi-hit games (27). Davalan also boasts Arkansas’ longest reached base streak (35 games) this season.
