Razorbacks Dominate Orange Bowl Classic
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorbacks traveled to Florida to kick off a six-day stint of training leading into the second half of the 2023-2024 season. On Wednesday, the Hogs took on Colby College, The College of the Florida Keys, and Trinity College (CT) in the Orange Bowl Classic, winning the contest by a score of 757 to 700-436-18.
The Razorbacks finished first in all twelve events while posting podium sweeps in seven of the twelve. Bella Cothern, Bradi Jones, Sydney Craft, Rebecca Simpson, Hannah Hall, Delaney Harrison, Alessia Ferraguti, and Adela Vavrinova all picked up individual wins in at least one race with Cothern and Harrison notching two wins each. Coach Neil Harper commented that “It was fun to get some short course meters racing in 75-degree weather in our first two days here. We are practicing at an intense level and working hard for our goals at SECs and NCAAs in February and March.”
The Razorbacks round out their trip with a meet at 12:00 pm on January 9 at Auburn before returning home to the Arkansas Natatorium to host in-state rivals University of Arkansas-Little Rock on Saturday, January 13 at 3:00 pm. This will mark the Hogs’ first competition in the Arkansas Natatorium since hosting University of Kentucky on September 22.
Tuesday’s meet at Auburn will be streamed on SEC Network Plus.
