Razorbacks Hit the Road to Face Tigers
The No. 8 Gymbacks face another tough road opponent this weekend as they are set to take on the No. 7 Missouri Tigers in Columbia this Sunday.
With Mizzou 2-3 in the SEC and Arkansas at 2-2-1, both teams will be looking to break through with another victory with just three meets remaining in the regular season.
Arkansas’ all-time series with Missouri has been extremely close, and the Gymbacks have the advantage by just one win at 18-17. The Tigers do have the edge on the Razorbacks in Columbia at 6-4, though Arkansas did win its last road contest at Missouri on March 3, 2024, with a then-program record team score of 197.650.
The score margins between Missouri and Arkansas are exceptionally thin in every category. The Tigers have a higher NQS on bars and floor and as a team, but the Gymbacks rank higher on vault and beam. The difference in NQS is as small as 0.004, on beam, and the biggest gap between the two on any event is on floor, where Missouri still has just over a one-tenth advantage.
The Tigers are coming off a first-place finish at a quad meet against Air Force, Illinois and Ball State last weekend, in which Mizzou scored a season high of 197.550. Arkansas hosted Kentucky and while the Gymbacks tied the Wildcats 197.125-197.125, the meet was highlighted by Morgan Price’s 10.000 on vault, the first Perfect 10 in program history.
Action in Columbia is slated for 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 1. The meet will be broadcast live on SEC Network+ with scoring available via Virtius.
