PERSONAL: Son of Tamiko Patterson and Charles Brown … Younger brother, Dayami Brown, is a former North Carolina wide receiver and current member of the NFL’s Washington football team … Brown was named for the Egyptian king Khafre, who built the second largest pyramid of Giza during his 66-year reign, concluding somewhere around 2570 B.C. Brown’s mother was intrigued after seeing a picture of Khafre’s statue in a book … Brown paints for a hobby, specializing in sunsets, usually in a beach or skyline setting … He picked up the hobby from his mother, who is an artist … Pronounced CHA-free.
