Scholastic Aptitude Earns Razorbacks Academic Recognition
NEW ORLEANS — Following capping its 2017 season at No. 13 at the NCAA championships, the Arkansas women’s cross country team has earned All-Academic distinction from the USTFCCCA.
Accomplished on the course and in the classroom, head coach Lance Harter’s squad boasts a cumulative GPA of 3.46. Individually, Sydney Brown, Ashton Endsley, Lauren Gregory, Nikki Hiltz, Carina Viljoen and Taylor Werner collected All-Academic honors for their efforts in finishing among the top-25 best performers at the NCAA South Central Region Championships as well as holding a GPA of 3.25 or greater.
In total 269 student-athletes received All-Academic honors (men included). Of the 269 student-athletes, 30 achieved perfect 4.00 GPAs, including international business and finance major Endsley and kinesiology major Werner.
Along with the scholastic recognition from the national governing body of cross country and track and field a multitude of Razorbacks were also honored by the Southeastern Conference, named to the recently announced league honor roll.
An impressive 20 members (full list below) of Harter’s team notched a GPA of 3.0 or above to earn a place among the SEC’s academic leaders.
