Stein Named to Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – For the second consecutive season, Arkansas’ Eli Stein has been named to the watch list for the Patrick Mannelly Award, given annually to the best long snapper in college football.
Stein is one of 30 long snappers included on this year’s watch list. 10 semifinalists will be announced on Nov. 11 before three finalists are announced on Nov. 25 and the winner is selected at the live award ceremony on Dec. 14 in Lake Bluff, Ill.
A junior from Cambridge, Wisc., Stein started all 12 games last year, serving as the team’s primary long snapper for the second straight season. He played 118 snaps according to Pro Football Focus, making every snap on special teams during the season.
