Taylor Placed on WGCA National Coach of the Year Watch List
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas women’s golf head coach Shauna Taylor was placed on the Division I Jackie Steinmann Women’s Golf Coaches Association National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride Watch List.
Taylor, in her 18th season at the helm of the Razorbacks, has led Arkansas to four team victories and this season and will look to add to that total at next week’s NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, California.
The Hogs have also enjoyed multiple stints as the nation’s top-ranked team according to Scoreboard Powered by Clippd’s National Collegiate Golf Rankings. The program rose to the top spot after three straight wins in the fall, but fell to No. 2 after the Jackson T. Stephens Cup, the final fall tournament. Arkansas opened the spring with a win at the Puerto Rico Classic and took back the top spot for the entire month of February.
Taylor’s squad, which has four of five starters ranked in the top 40 of Clippd’s rankings, has 10 top three finishes in 11 events and two match play victories: vs. No. 13 Oregon and No. 7 Texas.
Taylor also coached Maria José Marin to SEC Player of the Year honors in 2025 and All-SEC selections for José Marin, Kendall Todd, Reagan Zibilski and Clarisa Temelo.
23 other coaches from around the United States join Taylor on the list.
