Todd Ties NCAA Record, No. 2 Hogs Finish Runner-Up at Clemson Invitational

SUNSET, S.C. – No. 2 Arkansas women’s golf finished runner-up at the Clemson Invitational and set numerous school and NCAA records in the process.

Senior Kendall Todd (-15, 2nd) paced the Hogs with an individual runner-up finish and carded a 11-under par 61 in the third round. Todd finished one stroke shy of the leader, Ohio State’s Kary Hollenbaugh (-16, 1st).

The Goodyear, Arizona native had a flawless third round with 11 birdies and seven pars. Todd started and ended the back nine with three straight birdies and a birdie on the par-4 14th hole. Her score versus par of 11-under tied the NCAA record for the lowest round in collegiate women’s golf. It’s also the lowest round score and score versus par in Arkansas women’s golf history, and the most birdies in a round in school history.

Todd, the twelfth-ranked college golfer per Clippd, is the sixth player in women’s college golf history to shoot 61 in a single round and the first since 2020.

Overall, Todd finished at 15-under with a 201, the third lowest 54-hole score and score versus par in the Arkansas record book. In 54-holes, the senior sank a tournament-best 19 birdies and only recorded three bogeys.

The rest of the squad, led by sophomore Maria José Marin (-6, 5th), propelled Arkansas to its second lowest team 54-hole score (829) and score vs. par (-35) in program history. The group also set the school record for lowest team round (268) and score vs. par (-20) in the third round.

In total, the Razorbacks sank 63 birdies and 180 pars. Sophomore Abbey Schutte scored the team’s only eagle of the weekend, in the third round.

Arkansas, in nine tournaments this season, has finished no worse than third place with four wins and and two runner-up finishes.
