Women’s Golf unveils 2024-25 schedule
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Fresh off another trip to the NCAA Championships last spring, the Arkansas women’s golf team is set to travel from coast-to-coast during the 2024-25 season starting August 30 – September 1 at the Carmel Cup in Pebble Beach, Calif.
“I’m excited to get the 2024-25 season underway,” Head Coach Shauna Taylor said. “We have once again put together an outstanding schedule that will allow us to see a variety of conditions and golf courses that will ultimately prepare us for April and May.”
The Razorbacks’ opening weekend will once again come at the Carmel Cup for the third straight year at Pebble Beach Golf Links. The team finished second last season at the event to start their campaign.
“We start our year once again at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach,” Taylor said. “I’m not sure there is a better place to start a season than at one of the most iconic venues in all of golf. It is truly a special treat for all of us and we look forward to kicking off our year in California.”
The team returns home for their second event of the fall to host the Blessings Collegiate Invitational alongside the Arkansas men’s team at Blessings Golf Club September 30 – October 2. This year marks the fifth annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational, an event both the men’s and women’s teams swept last fall.
“We follow Pebble Beach with the amazing opportunity to host some of the best teams in the nation here at Blessings Golf Club,” Taylor said. “This tournament is very important to us as we get to play in front of our home crowd at the home of Razorback Golf – Blessings Golf Club.”
The Hogs wrap up the fall portion of the slate with trips to Tulsa, Okla. to play in the Dale McNamara Invitational (October 14-15) at the Golf Club of Oklahoma and Oklahoma City, Okla. for this year’s Jackson T. Stephens Cup (October 21-23) held at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.
The spring schedule starts with a return trip to Puerto Rico February 2-4 to defend the Razorbacks’ team title they won last spring at Grand Reserve Golf Club in Rio Grande. The Chevron Classic played at Golf Club of Houston wraps up February for the team February 24-25. The Hogs will again tee it up at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C March 3-5. The regular season wraps up with trips to Austin, Texas for the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational March 17-18 and the Clemson Invitational March 28-30 at The Reserve in Lake Keowee, S.C.
The Southeastern Conference championship will be contested at The Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla. April 14-18. NCAA Regionals will happen May 5-7 at six different sites before the national championship returns to Carlsbad, Calif. at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa – Championship Course May 16-21.
“The rest of our schedule has remained somewhat similar to past years, Taylor said. “We have added the Dale McNamara in Tulsa and the Chevron in Houston to give us some great regional head-to-head exposure. Playing such a great schedule will give our team a great test week in and week out as we look to bring home another championship to Razorback nation.”
The Razorbacks will be represented at the Paris Olympics with alums Maria Fassi and Gabby Lopez set to tee it up for their native Mexico in the first round beginning August 7.
