Hogs’ Historic Start
Following its midweek win against UAPB Tuesday night, Arkansas improved to 33-5 overall on the year to match its best 38-game overall start to a campaign for the second time in the last two seasons and for the third time in program history (1989 & 2024). In 1989, the Norm DeBriyn-led Hogs went 33-5 through their first 38 games before advancing to the College World Series for the fourth time in program history and finishing the year with a school-record 51 overall wins.
After recording one win on the road at Georgia last weekend, Arkansas enters this weekend’s series at 12-3 in league play, which matches its program-best 15-game SEC start. The Razorbacks have now started 12-3 or better through their first 15 SEC games on four occasions in program history: 1999 (12-3), 2010 (12-3), 2024 (12-3) and 2025 (12-3).
It Just Means More Wins
With at least two victories this weekend against Texas A&M, Arkansas can improve to 14-4 through its first 18 SEC games for the third time in school history. The Hogs also started a program-best 14-4 in SEC play in 1999 and 2024.
Arkansas has finished with 20 or more SEC victories in a season five times in program history, including four times under head coach Dave Van Horn. The Razorbacks reached the 20-win mark in SEC play in back-to-back seasons in 2023 and 2024 for the first time in program history. Arkansas, which has reached the 20-win mark in SEC play in four of the last five full seasons, is the first team since LSU from 1994-97 to post four 20-win SEC campaigns in five years.
30 Seasons of Baum-Walker Stadium
The 2025 campaign marks the 30th season in the history of Baum-Walker Stadium, which opened in 1996. Arkansas won its 700th game at Baum-Walker Stadium against Washington State on Feb. 17, 2025, and maintains an overall record of 720-244 (.747) inside the stadium’s friendly confines entering this weekend’s SEC series against Texas A&M.
Riding a five-game home winning streak, Arkansas is 24-1 at Baum-Walker Stadium this season. Since the venue opened, the Hogs have recorded six 30-win seasons at home, accomplishing the feat during the 2004 (31 wins), 2018 (program-record 34 wins), 2019 (33 wins), 2021 (30 wins), 2023 (32 wins) and 2024 (program-record 34 wins) campaigns.
Excluding 2020, the Razorbacks have won 28 or more games in seven consecutive seasons at Baum-Walker Stadium: 2017 (29 wins), 2018 (34 wins), 2019 (33 wins), 2021 (30 wins), 2022 (28 wins), 2023 (32 wins) and 2024 (34 wins).
