#20/17 Arkansas Stumbles at #7 Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The seventh-ranked Florida Gators had two big runs in the first half and never looked back in a 111-77 victory over #20/17 Arkansas Saturday night at Exactech Arena.

Seven Gators scored in double figures, including 22 points from Thomas Haugh, and Florida, the nation’s leading rebounding team, out-rebounded Arkansas, 51-31, thanks to Rueben Chinyelu grabbing 16 rebounds.

Arkansas, one of the nation’s leaders in assists and assist-turnover ratio, finished with 10 helpers and committed nine turnovers.

Billy Richmond III was a bright spot for Arkansas. He scored at least 20 points for the fifth-straight game, finishing with 22. He added six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Darius Acuff Jr. added 17 points and six assists,

The Razorbacks return home to host Texas on Wednesday (Mar. 4) for the program’s home finale. Tipoff versus the Longhorns is set for 6 pm (CT).
