Melton, Sansores, and Thomas all earn Academic All-District Honors

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the first-ever CSC Academic All-District honorees for swimming and diving on Tuesday. Arkansas swim and dive had swimmers Andrea Sansores, Kobie Melton, and Luciana Thomas earn 2022-23 CSC Academic All-District honors.

Swimmer Thomas has earned a 4.0 GPA while getting a graduate certificate in teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Thomas is also a four-time NCAA qualifier in addition to putting up NCAA B-Cut times in the 500-freestyle, 200-freestyle, and 400-individual medley this season.

Graduate Student Sansores is getting her MBA in Applied Business Analytics while also having a 4.0 GPA. Sansores had a GPA of 3.954 as an undergrad, which she got her bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Sansores earned a podium finish at the SEC Championship where she placed third in the 400-freestyle relay.

Swimmer Melton earned honors with a GPA of 3.648 on the year as a graduate student. Melton graduated undergrad with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. On the year, Melton has posted four NCAA B-cut times in the 200-backstroke, 50-freestyle, 100-freestyle, and 100-backstroke.
