History Lesson
Arkansas is 39-38 overall against Florida, including an 18-12 record in Fayetteville, Ark. Under head coach Dave Van Horn, the Razorbacks are 32-26 overall and 15-6 in games played at Baum-Walker Stadium against the Gators.

Entering the weekend, the Hogs have won consecutive series against the Gators at Baum-Walker Stadium (2021 and 2024), including a sweep in 2021. Arkansas’ last home weekend series loss to Florida came during the 2016 campaign.

In the Van Horn era (2003-pres.), Arkansas has won six of its seven weekend series against Florida at Baum-Walker Stadium: 2005 (W, 2-1); 2007 (W, 3-0); 2009 (W, 3-0); 2011 (W, 2-1); 2016 (L, 3-0); 2021 (W, 3-0); and 2024 (W, 2-1).

Start Your SEC Engines
Through its first six conference games this season, Arkansas owns a 4-2 record after securing an SEC Opening Weekend series win against Mississippi State (March 13-14) before earning a weekend series win at South Carolina (March 20-22).

The Razorbacks have started 4-2 or better through their first six SEC games in nine consecutive full seasons. Excluding the 2020 campaign, Arkansas went 4-2 in 2018, 2023 and 2026, and posted a 5-1 mark in 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025.

With a series win (at least two wins) this weekend against Florida, Arkansas can improve to 6-3 or better through its first nine SEC games for the seventh consecutive full season. The Razorbacks have not started worse than 6-3 through their first nine conference games since the 2018 campaign, when Arkansas began its SEC slate with a 5-4 record.

It Just Means More Wins
Entering the 2026 campaign, Arkansas has won 18 or more SEC games in eight consecutive seasons. LSU is the only other program in SEC history to record at least eight consecutive seasons of 18 or more SEC victories (10 from 1996-2005).

Additionally, Arkansas has started 8-4 or better in SEC play for eight consecutive seasons. Arkansas’ streak is the best stretch of starting 8-4 or better in SEC play by a team since LSU did so in eight consecutive seasons from 1991-98.

The Razorbacks have finished with 20 or more SEC wins in a season six times in program history, including five times in the Dave Van Horn era (2003-pres.). Arkansas (2023-25), one of three teams in SEC history along with Tennessee (1993-95) and LSU (1996-98) to reach the 20-win mark in league play in three consecutive seasons, has won 20 or more games in conference play in five of the last six seasons, making them the only team in league history to accomplish the feat.

Norm DeBriyn Night
The Razorbacks will celebrate Norm DeBriyn Night with a Nike throwback uniform and cap in their series opener against the Gators at 6 p.m. Friday, March 27, at Baum-Walker Stadium in recognition of the legendary former Arkansas head coach’s induction into the College Baseball Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 class.

The uniform and cap, which will be worn by Razorback players and coaches, pay homage to one of the most iconic looks of the DeBriyn era. The uniforms feature a throwback wordmark to Arkansas’ jerseys worn in the 1970s, the start of DeBriyn’s tenure as head coach, on the front as well as a golden number ‘23’ – DeBriyn’s retired number – on the front and back. The caps feature Arkansas’ original 70s era script A mark on the front and the Angelous Hog logo on the back.

Uniforms will also feature a commemorative patch celebrating DeBriyn’s College Baseball Hall of Fame induction. The patch includes DeBriyn’s retired number, signature and College Baseball Hall of Fame induction year. Weekend-long stadium celebrations, tributes and reunions as well as pin giveaways and merchandise for fans, including t-shirts and caps, will also be a part of ‘Norm DeBriyn: Legends Weekend’ and sold exclusively inside the ballpark by Hog Heaven.

In a coaching career that spanned four decades, DeBriyn transformed Arkansas into a national powerhouse after taking over as head coach in 1970 at the age of 28. The winningest coach in school history, DeBriyn guided the Razorbacks to a record of 1,161-650-6 (.641 winning percentage), two Southwest Conference titles, one Southeastern Conference title, one SEC Western Division title, 15 NCAA Tournament appearances and four NCAA College World Series appearances.

The Razorbacks recorded their best national finish in school history under DeBriyn in 1979, finishing as runner-up in the College World Series. In his 33 seasons at the helm of the Arkansas baseball program, DeBriyn coached 19 All-America selections, six Freshman All-Americans, 58 all-conference selections and 48 all-conference tournament selections. He was named SWC Coach of the Year in 1978, 1982, 1983, 1987, 1989 and 1990, and SEC Coach of the Year in 1999.

DeBriyn, the second Razorback to be inducted into the College Baseball Hall of Fame, was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame and the University of Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor in 1991, the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame in 2015. The Ashland, Wis., native is also a member of the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh Athletics Hall of Fame.
