History Lesson
Entering the weekend, Arkansas is 44-77 overall against LSU since 1960, including a 15-39 record in games played in Baton Rouge. Under Dave Van Horn, the Hogs are 30-44 overall and 11-19 at Alex Box Stadium against the Tigers.

Arkansas, 12-4 in its last 16 games against the Tigers since 2019, has won four of its last five weekend series against LSU, including a weekend series win in Baton Rouge during the 2021 campaign. The Razorbacks swept the Tigers last season at Baum-Walker Stadium and ride a program record-tying four-game winning streak against LSU entering this weekend.

This is 40
The Hogs, the first team in the country to 40 wins, have clinched their eighth consecutive 40-win season. Arkansas is the only SEC program to accomplish the feat in each of the last eight full seasons, doing so in 2017 (45 wins), 2018 (48 wins), 2019 (46 wins), 2021 (50 wins), 2022 (46 wins), 2023 (43 wins), 2024 (44 wins) and now 2025 (40 wins).

Arkansas is also one of only two programs in the country, along with Southern Miss, to accomplish the feat in each of the last eight full seasons. Southern Miss, currently 35-13, has won 40 or more games every season since 2016.

It Just Means More Wins
With a sweep this weekend, Arkansas can match its best 27-game SEC record in program history. The Hogs boasted a 20-7 record through 27 SEC contests in 1999 before finishing 22-8, their best SEC record since joining the league in 1992.

Thanks to last weekend’s sweep against Texas, Arkansas has matched its best 24-game SEC record (17-7) for the sixth time in school history. The Razorbacks also started a program-best 17-7 in SEC play in 1999, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024.

Arkansas, winners of 18 or more SEC games in seven consecutive seasons (2017-24), needs one more conference win to hit the 18-win mark in SEC play for the eighth season in a row. LSU is the only other team in SEC history to record at least eight consecutive seasons of 18 or more SEC wins, accomplishing the feat in 10 straight seasons from 1996-2005.

Additionally, Arkansas has finished with 20 or more SEC victories in a season five times in program history, including four times under head coach Dave Van Horn. The Razorbacks reached the 20-win mark in SEC play in back-to-back seasons in 2023 and 2024 for the first time in program history. Arkansas, which has reached the 20-win mark in SEC play in four of the last five seasons, is the first team since LSU from 1994-97 to post four 20-win SEC campaigns in five years.

Homerin’ Hogs
Through 49 games, Arkansas has swatted 102 home runs, good for fifth most nationally and third most in a single season in program history. With eight more homers this year, the Razorbacks will set a single-season program record, eclipsing their single-season program record of 109 home runs, which was set over 63 games during the 2021 campaign.
