Acuff Becomes Hogs’ Unanimous 1st Team All-American; Acuff & Thomas on NABC All- District

FAYETTEVILLE – Darius Acuff Jr. became Arkansas’ first unanimous first team All-American in basketball as he was voted first team All-America today by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). He was previously tabbed first team All-America by the Associated Press and The Sporting News, as well as several other publications.

The NABC additionally announced that Acuff and Meleek Thomas were voted first team All-Southeast District team.

To be considered a consensus All-America, a player must make the USBWA, NABC, AP and The Sporting News teams. To be considered a consensus first team All-America, a standardized point system was implemented in 1984 and consists of three points for first team, two points for second team and one point for third team by those four publications. The top five totals plus ties are first team and the next five plus ties are second team.

The following is the list of Razorbacks men’s basketball players to earn consensus All-America honors:

  • Darius Acuff Jr. – 2025-26 – unanimous 1st team
  • Bobby Portis – 2014-15 – consensus 2nd team
  • Corliss Williamson (2x) – 1993-94 – consensus 2nd team and 1994-95 – consensus 2nd team
  • Sidney Moncrief – 1978-79 – consensus 1st team
  • Ron Brewer – 1977-78 – consensus 2nd team
  • John Adams – 1940-41 – consensus 1st team
  • Ike Poole – 1935-36 – (just one All-American team – Helms Foundation)
  • Glen Rose – 1927-28 – (just one All-American team – Helms Foundation)
