Arkansas' 2023 SEC MBB Legend: Nick Davis
After a two-year hiatus, the SEC will once again honor its men’s basketball legends at the 2023 SEC Tournament. This year’s Razorback Legend is Nick Davis.
A three-year letterwinner from 1997-1999, Davis was one of Arkansas’ better rebounders in school history. In 1998, Davis was named first team All-SEC by the Associated Press and second team by the coaches. The Columbia, S.S., native led the Hogs in rebounding in 1997-98, averaging 9.8 boards per contest to tie for the fifth-best season average in school history. He is tied for the second-best SEC season average in program history with 9.3 boards per contest in 1998. Davis still holds the Arkansas record for rebounds in a game with 23 against Jackson State in 1997-98. His 322 rebounds in 1998 ranks as the third-most by a Razorback in a season. He holds the Arkansas record for rebounds in an SEC game with 17 boards, a mark he achieved twice.
Nick currently lives in Arkansas and is a truck driver. He will be attending the tournament and will be recognized at halftime of our game on Thursday against Auburn and then again on Semifinal Saturday.
