
Arkansas advances well in qualifying events at SEC Indoor
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Qualifying on the second day of the SEC Indoor Championships had 10 Razorbacks advance to finals in four events for Saturday’s final day.
Arkansas’ point total remained at 32 points. With seven of 17 finals completed, Oklahoma leads the field with 34 points. Auburn and LSU have 19 points each while Ole Miss is at 15.

Sanu Jallow-Lockhart and Analisse Batista led the prelims of the 800m as they finished 1-2 in the third heat with times of 2:03.25 and 2:03.68. Jallow-Lockhart bettered the facility record of 2:05.42 set earlier this month while Batista improved her career best and her hold on the No. 10 position on the UA all-time list.
Also advancing to the 800m final were Ainsley Erzen (2:05.22) and Anna Podojil (2:05.59).
In the 60m hurdles, Rachel Glenn improved her career best to 8.10 and No. 9 on the UA all-time list. Joining her in the final are Skye Tolbert and Saira Prince, who set PR times of 8.19 and 8.20. Just missing the final was Simone Ballard with a clocking of 8.21.
Glenn and Tolbert will also have field events on Saturday as Glenn is in the high jump and Tolbert in the pole vault.
Seven Razorbacks raced in the 400m with Isabella Whittaker and Kaylyn Brown reaching the final. Whittaker finished runner-up in the final heat with a career best of 50.86, which ranks No. 6 on the UA all-time list. Brown, racing in her first 400m of the season, won her heat in 51.48.
Arkansas sprinters in the event included Joanne Reid (52.48), Sanaria Butler (52.64), Aaliyah Pyatt (52.76), Kayla Davis (52.88) and Ashanti Denton (53.16). With nine heats, the fastest eight times advanced to the final.
Tiana LoStracco won her prelim heat of the mile in 4:47.29 to reach the final.
