Arkansas Begins College World Series Run against Stanford

College World Series Game Notes Press Conference: Dave Van Horn & Players

OMAHA, Neb. – The Razorbacks’ run at the College World Series begins on Saturday.

Arkansas (43-19), making its third appearance in Omaha in the last four postseasons (2018, 2019 & 2022), opens play at Charles Schwab Field Omaha against Stanford (47-16) at 1 p.m. on ESPN.

The Hogs are making their 11th overall appearance in the College World Series, including their seventh trip to Omaha under head coach Dave Van Horn. The Razorbacks’ all-time record in the College World Series is 15-20, including two runner-up finishes in 1979 and 2018.

Arkansas vs. Stanford – 1 p.m. – ESPN – Live Stats

The winner of Saturday afternoon’s game between Arkansas and Stanford will advance to play the winner of Saturday night’s game between Ole Miss and Auburn on Monday, with first pitch set for 6 p.m. on ESPN. The loser of Saturday’s games, meanwhile, will play in an elimination game at 1 p.m. Monday on ESPN.

Karl Ravech (play-by-play), Eduardo Pérez (analyst), Ben McDonald (analyst) and Dani Wexelman (reporter) will have the call for Saturday afternoon’s game between the Razorbacks and Cardinal. Road to Omaha

The Hogs have punched their ticket to the College World Series the hard way, playing all their postseason games away from Baum-Walker Stadium.
Arkansas won the Stillwater Regional, the highest-scoring regional in NCAA history, before storming past North Carolina in the Chapel Hill Super Regional.
Arkansas has not played at home since May 15, the longest active away stretch of any team currently in Omaha.

Arkansas has belted at least 100 home runs in back-to-back seasons for the first time in program history.
Through 62 games this year, the Hogs have totaled 100 round-trippers, led by DH Brady Slavens (15 homers), INF Cayden Wallace (15 homers) and OF Braydon Webb (15 homers).
The Hogs hit a nation-leading 109 home runs in 63 games in 2021, setting a single-season program record.
