Arkansas Continues Strong Performances at NCAAs
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – In their second day of competition, the Hogs racked up another top 15 finish at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
The team of Andrea Sansores, Alessia Ferraguti, Bella Cothern, and Kobie Melton clocked a time of 1:28.34 for a 13th place finish in the 200-freestyle relay event on Thursday.
The mark was good enough to get the Hogs Honorable Mention All-American honors for the second day in a row.
Head Coach Neil Harper: “Another relay and another top 15 and Honorable Mention All-American performance. Four great relay legs, especially in the middle from Bella (21.6) helped push us up to 13th! We have some favorable individual events tomorrow and another relay, so we have a lot to be excited about!”
The Razorbacks continue their NCAA run on Friday, March 17 with the preliminaries of 200-freestyle, 100-backstroke,100-breaststroke, and 50-freestyle in the morning. The 400-medley relay team has also advanced to finals, which will take place tomorrow night.
