Arkansas Divers Set To Compete In Tennessee Invite

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Arkansas women’s diving team will be in Knoxville, Tennessee, this week competing in the Tennessee Diving Invitational starting on Tuesday, Jan. 3 through Thursday, Jan. 5 at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.

The Southeastern Conference will make up a majority of the institutions in attendance, as the SEC will have nine schools competing in the 14-team invite (Tennessee, Georgia, Carnegie Mellon, Missouri, North Carolina State, Clemson, Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Virginia, Alabama, South Carolina and Southern Methodist).

Arkansas divers wrapped up a record-setting fall, tallying 12 NCAA Zone qualifying scores by three different divers. Molly Harvie had zone qualifying scores in the 1m (273.97) and 3m (280.05) against South Carolina. In the season opener, Marissa Green dove a 270.75 in the 1m to qualify for zones.

Competition is set to begin on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. CT with the women’s 3m springboard prelims. The top-12 divers in each event will move on to the afternoon finals that will immediately follow the prelims each day.
