Arkansas Swim and Dive Welcomes Back Coach Chris Grimmett-Norris

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. The Arkansas Swim and Dive program has hired Chris Grimmett-Norris as the team’s new assistant coach. Grimmett-Norris previously served as the Razorbacks’ graduate assistant during the 2018-2020 seasons. 

During his stint as a Hog assistant, Grimmett-Norris helped coach two top 20 finishes in 2018 in addition to assisting in the program’s first top 20 ranking since 1988 in 2019 when Arkansas finished 19th.

Head Coach Neil Harper commented, “I am excited about Chris joining our staff and team. Chris earned his masters degree from Arkansas while serving as a graduate assistant five years ago. He has been an assistant coach at three programs including University of Hawaii the past two years. Chris has a love and loyalty to Arkansas and his energy, passion and dedication has led to successful recruiting and coaching of many swimmers over the past five years. We are excited to get him back on campus and start the new year Go Hogs!”

Grimmett-Norris has spent the last two years at Hawaii as the Warriors’ assistant coach. The Warriors’ placed 24 members on the All Big-West team, earned a runner-up spot in the conference championships for the men with a  third-place finish for women in 2025.

Following his degree at the University of Arkansas Grimmett-Norris continued to build an impressive resume at Keiser University where he helped win the team’s fourth men’s NAIA National Title and the first women’s title in 2022. While serving as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Keiser he coached 102 All-Americans, 52 men and 50 women.

After his time at Keiser, Grimmett-Norris was at Florida Atlantic University as an assistant and helped lead the program to a runner-up finish in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association.
