Arkansas to Host Kansas, Creighton & North Dakota State in NCAA Fayetteville Regional

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas has punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the 36th time in program history.

Arkansas (43-13), the No. 3 national seed and top seed in the Fayetteville Regional, is set to host No. 2 seed Kansas (43-15), No. 3 seed Creighton (41-14) and No. 4 seed North Dakota State (20-32) from May 30-June 2 inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium. Arkansas opens tournament play against NDSU at 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, on ESPN+.

The Hogs, hosting a regional for the 12th time in program history and the seventh time in the last eight full seasons, will maintain home-field advantage through the super-regional round and host at Baum-Walker Stadium for the sixth time overall and the fourth time since 2018 if they are to advance. Arkansas is 32-4 overall (.889 winning percentage) at Baum-Walker Stadium this year – two wins shy of tying its single-season home win record of 34, set in 2018 and 2024.

The winner of the Fayetteville Regional will play the winner of the Knoxville Regional in the best-of-three-game super regional from June 6-8 or June 7-9. No. 14 national seed and top regional seed Tennessee (43-16) hosts No. 2 seed Wake Forest (36-20), No. 3 seed Cincinnati (32-24) and No. 4 seed Miami (OH) (35-21) this weekend in Knoxville, Tenn.

The Razorbacks are one of a record 13 SEC teams in this year’s NCAA Tournament field. Arkansas is joined by Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas and Vanderbilt.

It marks the first time 13 teams from any conference have earned NCAA Tournament bids. The previous record was 11 SEC teams a year ago. It was announced Sunday that a record-tying eight SEC teams will serve as NCAA Regional hosts.
