Fastest Kid In Fayetteville races at John McDonnell Invitational
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas will host the John McDonnell Invitational this Thursday and Friday at John McDonnell Field. A featured event on Friday is the Fastest Kid in Fayetteville over 100 meters, which will be held at 5:30 p.m.

The Fastest Kid in Fayetteville will be determined during the John McDonnell Invitational with children 5-12 years old open to participate. Registration is free, which will include kids free admission and Fastest Kid in Fayetteville t-shirt.
Early registration deadline is Thursday at 5 p.m. and can be completed online here: https://forms.gle/EzmEjfuaXnC8QjmVA. Further information about the event will be sent out following your registration.
The Fastest Kid in Fayetteville event starts at 5:30 p.m. with check-in beginning at 3:30 p.m. for entrants to pick up racing bib and t-shirt. Every child entered will receive an official Arkansas track and field Fastest Kid in Fayetteville t-shirt.
The 100m races will be divided into four age groups: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12. The 5-6 age group will compete first with nine children racing at a time, followed by the three other age groups.
Upon completion of all four age groups, medals will be awarded to the fastest boy and girl in each age group. Men’s head coach Chris Bucknam and women’s head coach Chris Johnson will present the fastest overall performer with a trophy.
A field of 25 teams are entered in the John McDonnell Invitational. In addition to Arkansas, the schools competing include Allen (Kan.) CC, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Central Arkansas, Harding, Indian Hills (Iowa) CC, Iowa State, Lamar, Little Rock, Missouri, Missouri Southern, Missouri State, Murray State, Northwest Missouri, Oklahoma Christian, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oral Roberts, Saint Louis, Southeastern Oklahoma State, Southwest Baptist, St. Thomas (Minn.), Tulsa, UA Rich Mountain (Ark.), UT Dallas.
