Four Razorbacks Invited to USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas’ Gabe Gaeckle, Cole Gibler, Ryder Helfrick and Cam Kozeal have been invited to the 2025 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp.
The training camp will feature 56 of the premier non-draft-eligible college players for a five-game Stars vs. Stripes intrasquad series in North Carolina from June 29-July 3. USA Baseball will name the final Collegiate National Team following Training Camp on July 3.
The first game will be held at Atrium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis at 5:35 p.m. ET, the next three games will be played at USA Baseball’s National Training Complex in Cary at 6:30 p.m. ET and the series finale will be hosted at Segra Stadium in Fayetteville at 6:35 p.m. ET.
The Collegiate National Team will play in the 45th USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star Championship Series in various locations across Japan on July 8-13. The remaining players from the Collegiate National Team Training Camp, meanwhile, will play in a Fourth of July game against the Appalachian League Select Team at Atrium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis at 6:35 p.m. ET.
Gaeckle finished his sophomore campaign with a 4-2 record, 4.42 ERA and two saves in 71.1 innings pitched across 19 appearances, including nine starts, on the mound. The right-hander tallied 92 strikeouts, second most on the Razorback pitching staff, while limiting opposing hitters to a .235 average on the year.
Gibler came on strong as a true freshman, posting a 3-2 record with a 3.99 ERA and one save in 29.1 innings over 20 appearances on the mound. The left-hander struck out 57 while limiting opposing hitters to a .221 average on the year.
Helfrick, the Razorbacks’ starting catcher, slashed .305/.420/.616 with 15 home runs and 38 RBI in 61 games during his sophomore campaign. Behind the dish, he posted a .995 fielding percentage with just three errors in 629 total chances on the year.
Kozeal slashed .333/.386/.606 with 15 home runs and 62 RBI in 60 games during his sophomore campaign after transferring to Arkansas from Vanderbilt. The Second Team All-SEC honoree, who split time at first and second base, was one of three Razorbacks to eclipse the 15-home run mark in 2025.
Since 1979, 23 Razorbacks have suited up for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. Gaeckle, who was Arkansas’ most recent Collegiate National Team representative, made the roster in 2024 and is vying to become the second two-time Collegiate National Team participant in program history (Ryne Stanek in 2011-12).
