Higher Clearance Gains Weeks More Recognition
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second week in a row, sophomore Tori Weeks has been named Southeastern Conference Co-Field Athlete of the Week, following her first place finish in the pole vault at the Razorback Invitational. Her victory at last weekend’s competition marked the Cabot, Arkansas, native’s third-consecutive meet title.
Weeks set a personal best by four inches with a clearance of 4.53m/14-10 1/4 which is currently the best vault by a collegian in the country and ranks her seventh in the world. She continues to lead the NCAA through three weekends of competition.

Weeks will be back on the runway on Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Randal Tyson Track Center, competing at the Tyson Invitational in the women’s pole vault at 3 p.m. CT.
