
Hogs, 49ers Square Off at Baum-Walker Stadium
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Fourth-ranked Arkansas (7-1) continues its season-long 10-game homestand with a three-game set against Charlotte (4-3) at Baum-Walker Stadium in the penultimate non-conference home weekend series of the season.
First pitch in the series opener between the Hogs and 49ers is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, on SEC Network+ with Josh Haley (play-by-play) and Shawn Murnin (analyst), voice of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, on the call.
Entering this weekend’s matchup against American Athletic Conference foe Charlotte, Arkansas has won 30 consecutive non-conference home weekend series in a streak that dates back to the start of the 2015 campaign. The Razorbacks are off to a 7-1 overall start, marking their best eight-game start to a season since 2021 when Arkansas began a perfect 8-0.

Arkansas is 2-2 all-time against Charlotte, including a 1-0 record in games played in Fayetteville. Under head coach Dave Van Horn, the Razorbacks are 2-2 overall and 1-0 against the 49ers at Baum-Walker Stadium.
30 Seasons of Baum-Walker Stadium
The 2025 campaign marks the 30th season in the history of Baum-Walker Stadium, which opened in 1996. Arkansas won its 700th game at Baum-Walker Stadium against Washington State on Feb. 17 and maintains an all-time record of 701-243 (.743) inside the stadium’s friendly confines entering Friday’s weekend series opener against Charlotte.
Following their midweek win over Grambling, the Hogs are off to an undefeated 5-0 start at home this season. Since the venue opened, Arkansas has recorded six 30-win seasons inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium: 2004 (31 wins), 2018 (program-record 34 wins), 2019 (33 wins), 2021 (30 wins), 2023 (32 wins), 2024 (program-record 34 wins).
Excluding 2020, the Razorbacks have won 28 or more home games in seven consecutive seasons at Baum-Walker Stadium: 2017 (29 wins), 2018 (34 wins), 2019 (33 wins), 2021 (30 wins), 2022 (28 wins), 2023 (32 wins), 2024 (34 wins).
30 and Counting
Arkansas opened the 2025 season by sweeping Washington State in a four-game set on Opening Weekend to win its 30th consecutive non-conference home weekend series in a streak that dates back to the start of the 2015 campaign.
The Razorbacks have not lost or tied a non-conference regular season weekend series at Baum-Walker Stadium since 2014, when Arkansas lost two-of-three games to South Alabama in its final non-conference home weekend series.
Hot Start
Dave Van Horn and the Razorbacks are off to a 7-1 overall start through this season’s first eight games, marking their best eight-game start to a campaign since 2021 when Arkansas began 8-0 and won 12 straight games to begin the year.
With a sweep this weekend against the 49ers, the Hogs can improve to 10-1 or better for the ninth time in the Van Horn era. Since Van Horn’s first season as head coach in 2003, Arkansas has started 10-1 or better on eight occasions: 2003 (10-1), 2005 (10-1), 2006 (10-1), 2008 (10-1), 2011 (10-1), 2012 (10-1), 2019 (10-1) and 2021 (11-0).
