Hogs Break Multiple Personal Best In Day Two of SEC

Knoxville, Tenn. – The Arkansas Swimmers had a great showing on day two of the SEC Championships. The Razorbacks had seven total personal best records broken in multiple events. Freshmen Claire Rumzie, Ella Pearl, and Allie Thome broke their personal best records in the 50 Freestyle and 200 Individual Medley events. In addition, Seniors Emily Barclay and Andrea Sansores broke their personal best twice in both 50 Freestyle events. The Razorbacks 200 Freestyle Relay team also put up the second-fastest time in school history, while also qualifying for the NCAA A-cut times.

“I am very excited about our results. We have had a lot of season bests and personal bests. The big gain was the NCAA A-cut in the 200 Free Relay and Emily’s 4th place and lifetime best in the 50 Free!”, Coach Harper stated.
“The time in last night’s 200 Medley Relay also earned us a qualifying time for NCAA’s so we are achieving a lot of individual best times as well as the team goal of now qualifying 4 relays for the NCAA Championships.”
