Hogs Cruise to Another Win Versus Trojans

The Arkansas swim and dive team won its second meet in two days, beating Little Rock by a score of 149-79.

The Razorbacks won their fourth straight meet as they put on another dominant performance against the Trojans. The Hogs continue their undefeated streak against Little Rock, moving to 6-0 all-time.

Arkansas won 13 out of 14 events on the day. The juniors, Lindy Hunter, Harriet Rogers, and Tammy Greenwood, showed out, and each won 2 events. Hunter won the 100 and 200 breaststroke, Rogers won the 100 and 200 freestyle, and Greenwood won the 100 backstroke and 500 freestyle.

Other first place finishes included senior Sydney Craft (200 butterfly), sophomore Ashley Morton (200 backstroke), freshman Sloan Zallen (1,000 freestyle), freshman Viola Petrini (50 freestyle), and freshman Ellen Garritson (100 butterfly).

“It was a great second day meet, our team was focused and accepted the challenge of racing an improved Little Rock team,” head coach Neil Harper said. “We had a lot of best times again today, so we are trending in the right direction. We have two more weeks to continue to work had and prepare for the SMU Invite.”

The Hogs round out the fall slate of the season in the SMU Invite, beginning on Nov. 19.
