Hogs Earn CSCAA Scholar All-American Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- The Arkansas swimming and diving team has been named a College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division I Scholar All-America Team, the CSCAA announced on Tuesday.

The award is in recognition of teams that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2018 fall semester. Arkansas had 11 student-athletes who recorded a 4.0 GPA in the fall semester.

"The continued recognition of academic excellence that this team receives every semester will never be understated or underappreciated," head coach Neil Harper said.

For the eighth consecutive semester, Arkansas has recorded a team GPA above 3.50. The Razorbacks posted a 3.51 GPA in the fall, ranking in the top-50 of all Division I women’s programs and fourth among Southeastern Conference programs.

“Not only are we one of the most improved teams at the NCAA Championships, but we also continue to lead in community service and dedication to academic success as well as being the most comprehensive team on our campus,” Harper continued. “I am extremely proud of our team’s continued achievements and success.”

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
