Hogs Ready To Roll at SEC Championships
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Swimming & Diving will spend the week in Knoxville, Tenn. to compete in the SEC Championships, which will span from Tuesday, Feb. 15 through Saturday, Nov. 19. The SEC Championships will feature the Tennessee Volunteers, South Carolina Gamecocks, Alabama Crimson Tide, Kentucky Wildcats, Missouri Tigers, Auburn Tigers, LSU Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Texas A&M Aggies, Florida Gators, and Vanderbilt Commodores.
Opponents: #3 Tennessee Volunteers, #25 South Carolina Gamecocks, #10 Alabama Crimson Tide, #13 Kentucky Wildcats, #19 Missouri Tigers, #18 Auburn Tigers, LSU Tigers, #12 Georgia Bulldogs, Texas A&M Aggies, #17 Florida Gators, and Vanderbilt Commodores

Scouting the Volunteers
Tennessee is currently ranked 6th in the country. The Volunteers are undefeated on the year, and they are coming off three wins against Carson-Newman, Georgia, and Vanderbilt.
Scouting the Gamecocks
The Gamecocks are ranked 25th in the country currently. In addition, South Carolina just recently competed in the Virginia Tech Invitational. The Gamecocks also had swam against Missouri, in which they lost 152-148.
Scouting the Crimson Tide
The Crimson Tide is sitting at the tenth spot in rankings currently. The Crimson Tide are coming off a good performance at the Auburn Invitational, where they had 23 top-ten finishes. However, the Crimson Tide are also coming off a win against Auburn as well.
Scouting the Wildcats
The Wildcats are the current reigning SEC Champions. The undefeated Wildcats currently sit 13th in the national rankings. In addition, the Wildcats are coming off wins against Cincinnati and Louisville.
Scouting the Missouri Tigers
The Missouri Tigers are currently ranked 19th in the country. Missouri just got done competing at the Louisville Invitational on February 10-11. Meanwhile, they also had a meet against South Carolina, where they got a win with a team score of 152-148 against South Carolina.
Scouting the Auburn Tigers
No. 18 Auburn just hosted the Auburn Invitational. Auburn is currently on a two-meet losing streak with losses to Alabama and Florida.
Scouting the LSU Tigers
LSU last competed in the Auburn Invitational on Feb. 4-5. The Tigers also competed in a home meet verses Texas A&M, in which they lost with a team score of 181.5-111.5.
Scouting the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs have only one loss on the year, coming against the Tennessee Volunteers. The Bulldogs are currently 12th in the nation, as well. In addition, they are coming off a win against the Emory Eagles, where the Bulldogs had a team score of 150 to Emory’s team score of 126.
Scouting the Aggies
The Aggies have a record of 5-1, their only loss coming at the hands of in-state rival Texas. The Aggies are currently on a two-meet win streak with wins over SMU and LSU. The Aggies put up a team score of 174 to SMU’s 114 and they also put up a team score of 181.5 to LSU’s 115.5.
Scouting the Gators
The Gators have a record 3-0 on the year, in which the Gators have a win over the 12th ranked Georgia Bulldogs. They are currently ranked 17th in the nation. The Gators have had two canceled meets this year against Texas A&M and Florida State. Meanwhile, the Gators are coming off a win against Auburn where they put up a team score of 184 to Auburn’s team score of 116.
Scouting the Commodores
The Commodores are 5-2 on the year and are fresh off a win against Little Rock. The Commodores put a team score of 178.5 to Little Rock’s team score of 64.5. Also, the Commodores faced the Razorbacks at the beginning of the season in which they lost 163-97.
Last Time Out
- Arkansas is coming off a match win against Georgia Tech & Tulane.
- Bella Cothern had four overall wins – she won the 200 Medley Relay, 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, and 400 Freestyle Relay.
- Vanessa Herrmann notched victories in the Medley Relay, 100 Breaststroke, and 200 Breaststroke.
- Andrea Sansores had four wins, tallying top of the podium finishes in the 200 Medley Relay, 100 Butterfly, 100 Backstroke, and 400 Freestyle Relay.
- Kobie Melton had three wins – the 200 Medley Relay, 200 Backstroke, and 400 Freestyle Relay
- Mayson Richards posted a 324.20 in the 3-meter, a new personal best.
