Hogs Return Home for Double Midweek Series against Golden Eagles

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Third-ranked Arkansas (18-2), winners of 16 consecutive midweek contests, returns inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium for a double midweek series against Oral Roberts (12-6) on March 18-19.

First pitch between the Razorbacks and Golden Eagles is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, on SEC Network+ with Brett Dolan (play-by-play) and Troy Eklund (analyst) on the call. Arkansas is off to an 18-2 overall start through its first 20 games of the year, marking its seventh 18-2 or better overall start to a season in the Dave Van Horn era (2003-pres.).

With Saturday’s win at Ole Miss, Van Horn, the second-winningest coach in program history behind only Norm DeBriyn (1,161), earned his 900th victory in 23 seasons at Arkansas. He is the fourth coach in history to win 900-plus games at an SEC program, joining Mississippi State’s Ron Polk (1,139), Vanderbilt’s Tim Corbin (936) and Ole Miss’ Mike Bianco (920).

History Lesson
Arkansas is 71-35 all-time against Oral Roberts, including a 40-14 record in games played in Fayetteville. Under head coach Dave Van Horn, the Razorbacks are 17-6 overall and 11-3 against the Golden Eagles at Baum-Walker Stadium.

Midweek Magic
Entering the double midweek against Oral Roberts, Arkansas has won 16 consecutive midweek contests. The Hogs went 12-0 in midweek games in 2024 and are 5-0 in midweek matchups in 2025 with wins over Grambling, ULM and UCA. Arkansas’ last midweek loss was against Lipscomb on May 2, 2023, at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock, Ark.

The Razorbacks went undefeated in midweek games during the 2024 campaign, posting an unbeaten midweek record for the first time since 2005. Arkansas recorded midweek wins against Grambling, UCA, Oral Roberts, Little Rock, Arkansas State and UAPB as well as three two-game midweek series sweeps over San Jose State, Texas Tech and Missouri State to finish last season with a perfect 12-0 midweek record.

In 2005, Dave Van Horn’s third season as head coach, Arkansas went 9-0 in midweek games, including wins against Centenary, Missouri State, Northern Colorado, Oral Roberts and Oklahoma State.

30 Seasons of Baum-Walker Stadium
The 2025 campaign marks the 30th season in the history of Baum-Walker Stadium, which opened in 1996. Arkansas won its 700th game at Baum-Walker Stadium against Washington State on Feb. 17 and maintains an all-time record of 710-243 (.745) inside the stadium’s friendly confines entering the double midweek series against Oral Roberts.

Arkansas is off to a perfect 14-0 start at home this season. Since the venue opened, the Razorbacks have recorded six 30-win seasons at Baum-Walker Stadium, accomplishing the feat during the 2004 (31 wins), 2018 (program-record 34 wins), 2019 (33 wins), 2021 (30 wins), 2023 (32 wins) and 2024 (program-record 34 wins) campaigns.

Excluding 2020, the Razorbacks have won 28 or more games in seven consecutive seasons at Baum-Walker Stadium: 2017 (29 wins), 2018 (34 wins), 2019 (33 wins), 2021 (30 wins), 2022 (28 wins), 2023 (32 wins) and 2024 (34 wins).

Twenty Wins
Arkansas, 18-2 through its first 20 games of the 2025 season, has gotten off to an 18-2 or better start seven times under head coach Dave Van Horn: 2003 (18-2), 2005 (18-2), 2012 (18-2), 2019 (18-2), 2023 (18-2), 2024 (18-2) and 2025 (18-2).

With a double midweek sweep against the Golden Eagles, the Razorbacks would improve to 20-2 overall through their first 22 games of the season. Since 1960, Arkansas has started 20-2 overall or better through its first 22 games only five times in program history: 1982 (20-1-1), 1996 (20-2), 2005 (20-2), 2012 (20-2) and 2023 (20-2).
