FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas will open the 2023 season against Texas at the College Baseball Showdown.
First pitch between the Razorbacks and Longhorns is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers. Arkansas will play TCU at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, before concluding its season-opening trip to Arlington, Texas, against Oklahoma State at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19.
All games of the College Baseball Showdown will be streamed live on FloSports, the exclusive broadcast partner for the tournament. Tickets for the three-day tournament, also featuring SEC members Missouri and Vanderbilt, are not yet on sale.
Arkansas, which posted a 46-21 overall record and made its 11th trip to the College World Series last season, is scheduled to play 14 teams that participated in last year’s NCAA Tournament, including four teams that advanced to Omaha, during the 2023 campaign.
Texas, TCU and Oklahoma State each made NCAA Tournament appearances last season, with the Longhorns advancing to the College World Series. The Razorbacks and Cowboys will meet again after Arkansas eliminated Oklahoma State from last year’s NCAA Stillwater Regional.
