Hogs Welcome in Warhawks for Double Midweek

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Third-ranked Arkansas (10-1), winners of six consecutive games and 13 straight midweek contests, plays host to ULM (5-5) for a double midweek series on March 4-5 at Baum-Walker Stadium. First pitch in the opener between the Razorbacks and Warhawks is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, on SEC Network+.

The Hogs, riding a season-long six-game winning streak, are off to a 10-1 overall start, their best 11-game start to a year since 2021, and their ninth 10-1 or better start to a season since Dave Van Horn’s first as head coach in 2003. With a double midweek series sweep against ULM, Arkansas can improve to 12-1 or better for just the sixth time since 2003.

History Lesson
Arkansas is 12-7 all-time against ULM, including a 6-1 record in games played in Fayetteville. Under head coach Dave Van Horn, the Hogs are 6-1 overall and 5-1 against the Warhawks inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium.

Midweek Magic
Entering Tuesday’s double midweek series opener against ULM, Arkansas has won 13 consecutive midweek matchups after going a perfect 12-0 in midweek games in 2024 and defeating Grambling in its first midweek contest of 2025. The Razorbacks’ last midweek loss came against Lipscomb on May 2, 2023, at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock, Ark.

The Razorbacks went undefeated in midweek games during the 2024 campaign, posting an unbeaten midweek record for the first time since 2005. Last year, Arkansas recorded midweek wins against Grambling, UCA, Oral Roberts, Little Rock, Arkansas State and UAPB as well as three two-game midweek series sweeps over San Jose State, Texas Tech and Missouri State to finish with a perfect 12-0 midweek record.

In 2005, Dave Van Horn’s third season as head coach, Arkansas went 9-0 in midweek games, including wins against Centenary (2), Missouri State (2), Northern Colorado (2), Oral Roberts (2) and Oklahoma State (1).

30 Seasons of Baum-Walker Stadium
The 2025 campaign marks the 30th season in the history of Baum-Walker Stadium, which opened in 1996. Arkansas won its 700th game at Baum-Walker Stadium against Washington State on Feb. 17 and maintains an all-time record of 704-243 (.743) inside the stadium’s friendly confines entering Tuesday’s double midweek series opener against ULM.

Following their weekend series sweep against Charlotte, the Hogs are off to an 8-0 start at home. Since the venue opened, Arkansas has recorded six 30-win seasons inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium: 2004 (31 wins), 2018 (program-record 34 wins), 2019 (33 wins), 2021 (30 wins), 2023 (32 wins), 2024 (program-record 34 wins).

Excluding 2020, the Razorbacks have won 28 or more games in seven consecutive seasons at Baum-Walker Stadium: 2017 (29 wins), 2018 (34 wins), 2019 (33 wins), 2021 (30 wins), 2022 (28 wins), 2023 (32 wins), 2024 (34 wins).

Hot Start
Dave Van Horn and the Razorbacks are off to a 10-1 overall start through this season’s first 11 games, marking their best 11-game start to a campaign since 2021 when Arkansas began 11-0 and won 12 consecutive games to begin the year.

Since 2003, Van Horn’s first year as head coach, Arkansas has now started 10-1 or better through its first 11 games nine times: 2003 (10-1), 2005 (10-1), 2006 (10-1), 2008 (10-1), 2011 (10-1), 2012 (10-1), 2019 (10-1), 2021 (11-0), 2025 (10-1).

With a double midweek series sweep against the Warhawks, the Hogs can improve to 12-1 or better through 13 games for the sixth time in the Van Horn era. Since Van Horn’s first season as head coach in 2003, Arkansas has started 12-1 or better through the first 13 games on five occasions: 2003 (12-1), 2005 (12-1), 2006 (12-1), 2011 (12-1), 2021 (12-1).
