NOTES:

  • Arkansas is 5-0 all time versus Alcorn State, all in Fayetteville.
  • This is the second time Arkansas has hosted Alcorn State for a season opener. The Braves also opened the Razorbacks’ 2009-10 season.
  • In that 2009 season opener, Arkansas won 130-68. Rotnei Clarke scored a school-record 51 points in the win, making an SEC-record 13 3-pointers (on 17 attempts). Arkansas only made 16 3-pointers as a team in that game.
  • Arkansas is 81-19 in season openers all-time and 90-10 in home openers.
  • Arkansas has won 47 of the last 49 season openers dating back to 1974-75 with both losses coming on neutral courts. Its two losses over the span were the 1994-95 opener when preseason #1 Arkansas fell to preseason #3 UMass (104-80) in the Tipoff Classic (Springfield, Mass.) and the 2018-19 season opener in El Paso versus Texas (77-73 in OT) in the ESPN Armed Forces Classic.
  • Arkansas has won 49 straight home openers dating back to 1974-75.
  • Arkansas is a perfect 30-0 in Bud Walton Arena for home openers.
  • Eric Musselman is 8-0 in both home and season openers.
  • For the first time in program history, Arkansas will play eight games in the month of November. The previous most was seven last year and 2019-20 — Coach Muss’ first year.
  • Nov. 6 is the second-earliest season opener in school history. The earliest opener came in 2019-20 versus Rice on Nov. 5 in Coach Muss’ first year.
  • Arkansas is 140-41 (.773) all-time in the month of November, including a 21-1 mark under Musselman.
