FAYETTEVILLE – For the second time this season, Arkansas will play the nation’s top-ranked team and face them on the road as the Razorbacks square off with #1 Auburn Wednesday night in Neville Arena. Tipoff is set for 8 pm (CT) and the game will be televised on ESPN.

The Razorbacks return home to host #15 Missouri on Saturday (Feb. 22). Tipoff is set for 7 om (CT) and the game will be televised on ESPN. During the game, Arkansas will celebrate the 1990 NCAA Final Four team.

NOTES:

  • This will be the 61st meeting between Arkansas and Auburn. All but one (a meeting in the 1967-68 season in Oklahoma City) have come since Arkansas joined the SEC.
  • The Razorbacks own a 38-22 advantage in the series but the Tigers lead 15-13 in games played in Auburn.
  • Auburn won the only meeting between the programs last season but the Razorbacks have won 14 of the last 20 in the series
  • For the second time this season, Arkansas will face the top-ranked team in the nation. The Hogs opened SEC play at #1 Tennessee. Arkansas has only beaten the AP #1 team three times and are 3-12 all time. The three wins include: 2/12/84 vs #1 North Carolina (65-64 in Pine Bluff); 2/8/22 vs #1 Auburn (80-76 in OT in Bud Walton Arena); and 3/24/22 vs #1 Gonzaga (76-68 in San Francisco in the NCAA Sweet 16).
  • Razorback head coach John Calipari is 6-6 all-time when playing the AP #1 team, including an 0-2 record in road games. He is 1-0 when playing #1 at home and 5-4 when playing #1 on neutral courts. Overall, Cal’s teams are 115-102 when playing AP top-25 teams.
  • Auburn and Arkansas are two of the top shot-blocking teams in the NCAA. Auburn leads the NCAA by blocking 6.9 shots per game and Arkansas is 3rd at 5.89.
  • Johnell Davis, who had 10 steals in his first 16 games of the season, has 19 in the last seven games.
